Rules & Regulations

  1. Gender Separation:

All individual races must be held as separate gender events.

  2. Proper Swimming Attire:
Participants are required to wear appropriate swimming attire, which includes swim trunks, swimsuits, or swim caps. This ensures not only a professional appearance but also contributes to the overall safety of the event.

  3.  Qualification Alone:

A swimmer swimming over the course alone must cover the whole distance to qualify.

  4. Lane Consistency:

The swimmer must remain and finish the race in the same lane in which he/she started.

  5. Standing on the Bottom:

Standing on the bottom during freestyle events or the freestyle portion of medley events will not disqualify a swimmer, but walking is not allowed.

  6. Lane Rope Pulling:
Pulling on the lane rope is not allowed.

  7. Obstruction and Interference:

Obstructing another swimmer by swimming across another lane or otherwise interfering shall disqualify the offender.

Intentional fouls should be reported to the respective Member promoting the race.

  8.  Prohibited Devices and Attire:

No swimmer is allowed to use or wear any device or swimsuit that aids speed, buoyancy, or endurance.

    Goggles are permitted.

  9. Post-Race Conduct:

    – A swimmer must leave the pool promptly after finishing to avoid obstruction; failure results in disqualification.

  10. Foul Endangering Success:
    – If a foul endangers a swimmer’s chance of success, the referee may allow participation in the next heat or order a re-swim for final events.
